Documentary series for NRK!
The Fjords team are currently in production with a new documentary series for NRK.
Premiere for Fjords Peer Gynt dokumentar på NRK2 21/11-2017 kl 20.25!
A disloyal adventurer, full of imagination but with little stamina. Always having a door open or a bridge out of the situation, Peer Gynt never commits himself 100% to anything. No ties or loyalty for him. Henrik Ibsen’s world famous play Peer Gynt is celebrating its 150th anniversary and in this documentary we follow the process from rehearsals to the debut performance under the inspired direction of award winner Sigrid Strøm Reibo. We take a journey with the actors and the team behind the critically acclaimed theatre production at Gålå in Gudbrandsdalen, Norway with father and son actors Nils Ole and Jakob Oftebro as Peer Gynt in his youth and declining years.

Fjords format in Broadcast: Norwegian indie seeks UK co-pro partner
Hunts production partner for Our Winter’s Tale.
Norwegian indie Fjords wants to use the Scandinavian lifestyle concept of ‘hygge’ to create a factual entertainment format for a British broadcaster.
It is hunting a production partner for Our Winter’s Tale – a factual entertainment series that will send British families to Norway, and challenge them to survive its wilderness and Scandinavian way of life.
The proposed format is part of a wider push by Norwegian producers to build on the international success of programmes such as NRK’s multiplatform drama Skam (Shame), which is being remade in the US by Simon Fuller, and studio-based reality format Doctor vs Internet.
Fjords co-founder and executive producer Elisabeth Nord said: “There is a fresher and lighter side to Nordic TV that is emerging.
“Scandinavian culture now brings some new values, and combining them with UK production values is something we’re aspiring to do.”

PEER GYNT documentary for NRK.
It is 150 years Henrik Ibsen submitted the draft of his classic play Peer Gynt to his publisher. This always relevant masterpiece continues to be performed in theatres all over the world. When the play is staged at the spectacular open air theatre at Gåla in Gudbrandsdalen it brings together a trinity of Norwegian cultural giants – Ibsen himself, together with the composer Edvard Grieg and painter Edvard Munch, linked together through the inspiration of the legend of Peer Gynt.

Record attendance & viewing figures for NRK’s Slow Tv 2016 !
July 2016 a historic week for NRK’s series of Slow Tv and evening live show events around Lake Mjøsa, with well over a half a million on screen viewers and thousands attending the festivals, concerts and special activities celebrating the Ringsaker, Stange & Hamar municipalities. The Fjords team had the unique honour and pleasure to project manage and produce (and take part!) on behalf of Hamarregionen Reiseliv in colloaboration with NRK showcasing the very talented and welcoming people of the region.
”Slow TV gives us a unique experience; the feeling of being present in real time and space. Whether the arena is onboard a train or a boat – or in a venue were knitting pins are clicking away for 24 hours straight, both Norwegian and international viewers are captivated. Could this be a counter-reaction to our stressed everyday life?» https://www.nrk.no/presse/slow-tv-1.12057032
